Camping area – very rural setting within fenced property. You will need a 4×4 or a good bakkie should you want your vehicle at your tent. If not, your vehicle can securely be left at the main house.
Communal fire pit. No electricity on site (Outdoor self-catering on your site – bring your own tents,
camp gear, gas cooker, braai, grid, charcoal etc.
Please note that we are situated in a very rural setting. Local shops/spazas stock only a limited amount of items, so make sure to bring your own special “treats”. Ngcwanguba / Megasave Store is an hour’s drive (+- 45km) away and you can get EVERYTHING there.
Beer, seafood (with a license) etc is obtainable from the locals. Buying your beers locally also mean we don’t end up with all your tins and non-returnable bottles which helps us in turn as we have no municipal services in our area and have to drive all our refuse to the nearest refuse disposal dump, 1 hour’s drive away.
Although nobody likes travelling with cash it is advisable to bring along what you think you will need (small change and not too many large notes). The nearest ATM is a 1 hour drive away and only available during business hours. You might need cash for beer, seafood, local crafts, tips for traditional dance shows, horse rides, kayak rental or guided hikes.
FOR AN AWESOME WILD COAST HOLIDAY, we personally suggest you bring along your cool “AFRITUDE”, let your hair down, forget about your city troubles and pretend that you are on a different planet. After all, you are far, faaaaar away from the maddening crowds (unless you bring your own “mad” crowd with you of course).
REMEMBER…… the rat race ends here
